Pregnancy is one of the most magical times in many women’s lives. Still, the nine months can often fly by, and many parents are left with few memories and keepsakes to remember their time together when pregnant. Here are a few of the best ways to celebrate pregnancy and make the most of the time for both expecting parents and their loved ones.
Throw a Tasteful Gender Reveal Party
If you aren’t familiar with the world of gender reveal related celebrations, then you may be wondering: what is a gender reveal? No matter how you decide to reveal to your friends and loved ones the gender of your child, it is a brilliant and exciting way to get everyone together and celebrate the upcoming baby.
Many expecting parents now make the decision to not be told the gender of their child directly from the ultrasound nurse, but instead to have them seal the answer in an envelope. They then pass this envelope onto a bakery of their choice, and design a cake containing either blue or pink icing that is revealed when the cake is cut open. This is a brilliant way to feel closer to your friends and family as you all find out the news together at a celebration.
Do not (and I repeat, do not) go viral.
Arrange a Pregnancy Photoshoot
Many expecting mothers will admit that they don’t always feel too hot in their pregnancy months. Still, many grow to look back fondly on the time and wish that they had taken more photos to remember and cherish their pregnant body and the bundle of life that it provided them with.
If you don’t fancy whipping out the camera and doing an at-home shoot, it could be a good idea to join the growing number of women who decide to book a professional maternity shoot. This ensures that the photos are tasteful, good quality, and really capture your pregnancy glow. There is no better way to celebrate and highlight your incredible pregnant body, and you will treasure the photos forever.
Babymoons
Babymoons definitely aren’t the first thing on most expecting parents’ minds as they frantically prepare for the big day, but more and more people are now recognising the importance of enjoying one final trip as a couple before your new addition. As with everything, people interpret the trip wildly differently. Some people see it as an opportunity to go on the island getaway of their dreams, whereas others prefer to keep it local. This could be for financial reasons, or obvious worries over completing long-distance travel when pregnant.
But that’s the beauty of the baby moon, it’s completely unique to what suits you as a couple. The one tip to keep in mind is that this is probably the final weekend of quiet you’ll have for a reasonably long time, so try and make the trip as relaxing and romantic as possible!
These are just a few of the possible ways to make memories and joyously celebrate your time being pregnant. While many women opt to have extravagant celebrations for these events, the most important thing to remember is that it is all about what makes YOU happy as a couple. This is your special time together, and the key is to enjoy it!
