If you are lucky enough to have a friend throw you a baby shower, you won’t have to think too much about game prizes. However, if you are planning your own evening/day, you should consider that the games you run have to have prizes. Let’s be honest here, not many baby shower games come with good prizes, and they are often left discarded in the car if you do get them.

Baby showers are a wonderful excuse to get together, wear custom printed tees and celebrate the upcoming birth of a beautiful new baby. Why not play some games and win prizes along the way? If you haven't ever been to a baby shower, you’re about to learn what makes a great baby shower prize! Baby shower prizes don't have to be too big, nor do they have to be overly extravagant. You can choose token gifts that have a great meaning, or you can choose fun ones that really lighten the mood. Let’s take a look at some options that you can consider.

  1. Something silly. A diaper pack with baby food, a spoon and a onesie is always a great joke prize. Take the time to think about how you can put these packs together to make them individual to your guests, and don't be afraid to put in something a little personal to let people know you really did think of them.

  2. Something meaningful. Terracotta plant pots and seeds with birth flowers of the new baby are a great way to show your friends and family that you have thought of them. It’s meaningful because it’s symbolic; the plants are going to grow, just like the baby. The birth flower of the baby will also be a beautiful gesture to make.

  3. Coffee. It sounds like a silly gift, but a personalized mug with quality coffee and a fancy spoon is always a great gift. You can pack it into a basket with cake or biscuits and wrap them up in cellophane so that you can hand out high quality gifts.

  4. Personal kits. Bath bombs in the color that match the baby (or yellow/green if you are having a secret surprise) are a wonderful prize to take home! Winning these along with soaps, hand lotions and more are all going to be great prizes and you can bet that they will be gratefully received. Add a pacifier or a diaper pin to the packet to make sure that people know it's because of the baby shower!

  5. Scented candles. You can choose to add scented candles as a prize gift and you can choose cute scents like cookies or fresh linen. All of these will be used and remembered well.

  6. Tshirts. This one is absolutely a fun gift, but custom printed tees are those that can be taken home. Make sure that you choose wording on the t-shirts that show that each guest won a specific game, so “Best Baby Food Tester” is a good example!
